Authenticity beats polish every time. Show real photos of your team on the tools, your branded vans, and your actual completed projects. Even if the photos aren't shot by a professional photographer, the fact that they are real proves that you are a legitimate, active business.
2. Contextual social proof
Having a "Testimonials" page hidden in your navigation menu is no longer enough. Most users won't click it. Instead, you need to weave social proof throughout your entire website, especially on your service pages.

Don't make potential clients guess if you are qualified. Display your industry accreditations (Master Builders, Master Plumbers, SiteSafe, etc.) prominently in your website's footer and near your contact forms.
If you offer a guarantee (e.g., "We leave your site spotless or we pay for a cleaner," or "10-year workmanship guarantee"), make it a central feature of your homepage. Guarantees reverse the risk of hiring you and are a massive trust accelerator.
4. Fast load speeds
This is a subconscious trust signal. If your website takes 6 seconds to load, or if the layout jumps around as images slowly appear, the user subconsciously associates that poor technical performance with a lack of professionalism in your actual trade.
